Santen encourages and supports research to enhance the understanding of eye diseases and the development of innovative solutions for unmet needs in ophthalmology.
Investigator sponsored studies (ISSs)
Santen may offer grants to clinicians, scientists and academic institutions (i.e., sponsor investigators) who are pursuing medically and scientifically sound research. We generally support research in the following therapeutic areas:
- Glaucoma
- Dry eye disease, corneal disorders and other anterior segment conditions
Santen medical education grants
Santen may support grants for medical education programmes for healthcare professionals to help enhance their knowledge and skills, advance the quality of patient care and are aligned with our current areas of therapeutic focus.
Our support includes:
- Continuing medical education programmes
- Independent medical education initiatives
